Rich dates give away the sherry finish, Werther's Originals, leather, liquorice and tobacco
Crushed walnuts, followed by a malty Guinness-like hue, falling into a sweeter end note of caramel and honey
A rich warming finish that stick to your gums, dark chocolate and honey
Glengoyne 11: Pedro Ximénez Quarter Cask
The third release by Glaschu Spirits Co, an un-named highland spirit... what ever could it be? 🤔
Thankfully, we know exactly where it's been distilled, right at the border of the Scottish highland and lowland whisky regions - Glengoyne Distillery!
It's an 11 year old (almost 12 actually, but we're a bit impatient) ex-bourbon single cask, that we split into two first-fill Pedro Ximénez quarter casks.
We let those two quarters ripen for a whole 8 months before vatting them back together for this release. The colour change from start to finish has been incredible, the flavour transformation even more so!
Distillery: Highland Single Malt (Distilled at Glengoyne)
Bottled: Natural colour and without chill filtration
Bottle Size: 700 ml
