Chapter 1: Clanyard
The Fable brand is built on storytelling, art and illustration. They aim to set the imagination free and open up the charming and romantic world of fine independent whiskies.
An independent bottler who is far from the ordinary, Fable bring legendary myths to life through arts and animation, showcasing hand selected single malts with distinctive taste and intriguing character.
Their first instalment dives into the legend of 'The Ghost Piper of Clanyard Bay', a story hailing from the south west coast of Scotland, close to Stranraer.
Fable have collaborated with artist Hugo Cuellar to design the labels, characters and scenes, creating the enchanted world that forms a set of eleven chapter releases.
This is release number 2, chapter 1/11, it represents the town of Clanyard Bay, perched upon a cliff on Scotland's wild southwest corner. It is embodied by the Caol Ila 10 year old, a classic islander that perfectly portrays the rugged maritime feel of Clanyard Bay.
This 10 year old Caol Ila hoggy was bottled at a cask strength ABV of 57.3%, with zero chill filtration and no added colour... just the way we like it!
The smokey, sea spray profile of this island malt is a perfect portrayal of Clanyard Bay... and a damn good dram indeed!
